Meet the Band
Wendy Berry - Lead Vocals
Wendy was born and raised on Long Island, NY and has been a professional singer/performer for over 10 years. In addition to singing with "High In The 80's", she’s also currently the lead singer with the seasonal Trop-Pop-Rock Band "Harbor Moon", and on occasion you can find her sitting in the with the popular CT band "The Cartells". She’s also part of the vocals/piano duo "Stay Tuned" with her Fiancé John (on keys/vocals) who plays with several other local CT bands as a drummer. For 7 years Wendy was also a female lead singer touring all over NY, CT & MA with the show band "The Glamour Girls" and "The Glamour Girls Swing". She’s been in several community musical theater projects with The Middletown Stage Company. Born into a family of professional musicians, it was her destiny to be on the stage.
John Ciaralli - Keyboards & Backing Vocals
Johnny is a multi talented keyboard / synth player and experienced gigging music professional who plays in several other top CT area bands including Red Zone and Head Over Heels. Johnny plays Yamaha, Korg, and Roland keyboards through a really loud Bose sound system.
Mike Bell - Lead Guitar
Jay began his performing career in the mid 80's with local hard rock cover band Eclipse. This was followed by stints in the 90's with Pigpen, Lanyon Drive, Rhythm Overdrive and Memberz Only. After taking five years off, Jay returned with The Happening, Coyote River Band, Charmed and Shaken. Highlights include playing both locally and regionally in clubs, private functions, casinos and weddings.Jay’s guitar influences include: Neal Schon, Billy Gibbons, George Lynch and many others.Jay proudly uses: Bogner Amplification, Gibson, Xotic and JamesTyler Guitars.
Ed Sunderland - Drums / Percussion
Ryan Hendry is one of the new additions to the band's recent change in lineup, but at just 21 years old he's already an accomplished drummer who also plays drums in the band Kids That Fly.
Joel Lee - Bass Guitar
Although Joel is a new member of High In the 80's, he has been playing bass for many years and performs in several of CT's top gigging bands including the horn band Head Over Heels.
Tom Storm - Guitar & Vocals
Tom has been playing guitar since the age of seven and has played in various bands over the years since about the age of twelve (Oasis, Esquire, Perpetual Motion, Mojo, Juicy Bob, The Unexpected, Arelene Wow, DeNovo, Spellbound Acoustic). He is a utility player who is equally at home playing guitar, drums, percussion, bass, keys, or singing. Born in New York, and raised in Cheshire, CT, Tom has performed in school talent shows, town park shows, private parties, school dances, bar gigs, acoustic duos, and even national and international competitions while serving on active duty for 11 years in the U.S. Army. Tom plays Fender, Godin, and Charvel guitars and uses Fender and Line 6 amplification.
